Shree Krishna Vada Pav (Skvp) - Slough

If you’ve ever wandered the streets of Slough craving something spicy, crispy, and straight-up comforting, then Shree Krishna Vada Pav (Skvp) - Slough is where your tastebuds need to be. Nestled at 2a Alpha St N, Slough SL1 1RB, this cozy Indian street food spot packs a punch of authentic Mumbai flavor-without needing a flight ticket to India.

First things first: the Vada Pav here is legendary. It’s the heart and soul of the menu, and honestly, if you're visiting for the first time, it's a must-try. For the uninitiated, think of it as India’s version of a spicy burger-crispy potato fritter (vada) tucked in a soft bun (pav), laced with fiery chutneys and a touch of garlic masala. One bite and you're hooked.

Now, if you’re a fan of variety, this place has you covered. The Schezwan Vada Pav is perfect for those who like an Indo-Chinese twist. It’s fiery, saucy, and loaded with flavor. Looking for something hearty and satisfying? The Misal Pav will blow your mind. A spicy curry of sprouts topped with crunchy farsan, served with buttery pav on the side-it’s the kind of meal that hits different on a rainy day.

Chaat lovers, rejoice. From Samosa Chaat to Dahi Puri and Aloo Tikki Chaat, SKVP knows how to keep things tangy, spicy, and full of textures. These small plates are ideal for sharing, or for solo munchers looking to mix and match a few flavors. Their Onion Bhajiya Pav is another snack that doesn’t disappoint-crispy onion fritters sandwiched into a pav with chutneys? Yes, please.

And let's not overlook the Masala Tea. It’s one of the standout highlights here. Freshly brewed, fragrant with spices, and sweetened just right-it’s the perfect pairing with literally anything on the menu. If you're swinging by for a morning bite, grab a Poha and chai combo. Light, fluffy flattened rice with mustard seeds and turmeric-it’s a classic Indian breakfast that’s both comforting and filling.

Speaking of drinks, their Mango Lassi is chilled, creamy, and refreshingly sweet. Ideal after a spicy meal. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, try the Rose Falooda-a colorful, indulgent dessert-drink hybrid that’s as pretty to look at as it is to sip.

For mains, if you’re in the mood for something more filling, the Paneer Butter Masala and Fried Rice combo is worth your time. Creamy, rich paneer gravy paired with hot rice brings a satisfying, almost homestyle balance to the spicy starters.

Now, let’s talk vibe. The place isn’t fancy, and it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s casual, vibrant, and feels like the kind of eatery where the focus is squarely on flavor, not frills. Accessibility-wise, it's good to note that there’s no wheelchair-accessible car park or entrance, so plan accordingly. On the flip side, they offer dine-in, takeaway, and delivery options, so there’s always a way to get your fix.

The service is quick, and it’s easy to drop in for a quick bite whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It’s also a popular spot for solo diners, with plenty of folks grabbing a quick chai and snack between errands or during lunch breaks.

Another big plus? Their vegetarian and vegan offerings. Everything on the menu is meat-free, and many dishes are easily adapted for plant-based eaters. Whether you’re grabbing a Cheese Vada Pav, a couple of Punjabi Samosas, or a full-on Mixed Bhajiya Plate, you're getting authentic flavors that cater to different dietary needs.

People often search for spots in Slough that serve good Indian food, especially vegetarian street food, and SKVP Slough delivers every time. It’s a reliable, affordable, and flavorful go-to that deserves a bookmark on your food map. Whether you're craving a nostalgic taste of Mumbai or just want something fast, spicy, and satisfying, this place is hard to beat.

And honestly, with dishes like the Samosa Misal, Masala Fries, and Bread Pakoda in rotation, it’s no wonder this place has such a loyal following.

I tried the Mysore masala dosa here and was really impressed! The dosa was perfectly crispy on the outside with just the right amount of spice in the Mysore masala – flavorful without being overpowering. The potato filling was well-cooked and nicely seasoned. What really stood out were the chutneys – all of them tasted fresh and complemented the dosa beautifully. The coconut chutney was creamy and mild, the tomato chutney had a nice tang, and the mint chutney added a refreshing kick. Overall, a delicious and satisfying experience. Highly recommend if you enjoy South Indian food or want to try an authentic Mysore masala dosa!

We had vada pav, pav bhaji, parota with paneer makhani, chinese bhel, and the buffet breakfast which included poha, sabudana kichadi, vada pav, idli and vada, last but not least masala tea. Not expensive and very tasty. A very recommended place for those who miss the mumbai ambiance. It's a small place but do not underestimate the taste that you get. The quantity is good as well. They sell chakli, kachori mix and some other package food as well. You can also get kulfi (we had mango and kesar pista) if you have a sweet tooth. I hope this franchise will open in wales some day soon.

Very good vibes, friendly staff, the seating setting was likable. Must try this restaurant if you're looking for some tasty food. The food was delicious, especially vada pao with green chutney and potato bhajiya with a taste of masala chai. Reasonable price and money worth food. After a long time, I liked vada pav. The music was an add-on. Highly recommend. Pure vegetarian restaurant.
